How much does TaskWorks cost?
TaskWorks is free for the first 28 days for an unlimited number of people. Thereafter charges are per person per month at the rate of £4.50 excluding Sales Tax at 17.5% (Sales Tax applies only to subscribers in the EU). The fee is per person in your organisation whether the person themselves will login or whether you will be entering their data on their behalf. In other words it is not per user, but per person/employee.

Are there any extras I have to pay for?
No. The monthly fee covers all functionality.

How much is the Outlook Add-in?
Nothing, it is Freeware! Obviously you will need to have a TaskWorks subscription to use it longer than the free 28 days of your TaskWorks Trial but the add-in is delivered free to our users.

How do I contact Support about TaskWorks or the Outlook Add-in?
Use the "Contact Us" option on the menu above and complete the form. We operate a very quick response to all enquiries, not just support ones. Our telephone number is there for you to call instead if you wish.

Do I pay for external users (My Customers)?
No. You can create "External users" to allow people external to your company access to the community sections of projects that you allow them to see. You can establish as many of these accounts as you like and assign them access rights to certain projects. You do not have to pay subscription for these types of accounts. See the guided tour for more information on the "Community" section of TaskWorks.

How is subscription handled, what are the mechanics?
Subscriptions are handled through PayPal's secure subscription service. You can read more about PayPal here. Through the "Subscription" pages of TaskWorks you setup a monthly (Every 28 days) charge for the number of users you wish to subscribe for through the PayPal service. You can even create a PayPal account on the fly when you subscribe to TaskWorks for the first time. Thereafter, we will automatically charge your PayPal account every 28 days for however many users you require for the next 28 days. You can adjust the number of users up and down as required on a monthly basis. Note that you do not need a credit card or a paypal account to use the 28 day trial service. The Paypal account is only needed at the end of the 28 days to keep using TaskWorks beyond that point

We don't want to use a credit card. Do you accept subscriptions on a purchase order against an invoice?
We do allow subscribers to pay for a subscription against an invoice and not have to use monthly credit card charging. This is only permitted against an annual agreement and with prior arrangement. Please use the contact page to request this. Note annual agreements require the full settlement of subscription fees prior to commencmement of the subscription period.

Can I record sub-contracted personnel in TaskWorks?
You can, however you will need to include them as part of your employees in the system. TaskWorks allows you to remove Sub-contracted personnel from reports like Employee utilisation and revenue ratio reports so as not to give false values. In theory sub-contracted personnel will usually have a utilisation of at least 100% which would sway regional analysis of utilisation so being able to remove them from such figures is a useful feature in TaskWorks.

What about part-time staff?
Part-Time staff hours can be recorded in TaskWorks projects. In much the same way as Sub-Contracted labour can be excluded from certain reports, part-time personnel can be factored out of certain performance monitoring reports as well, either completely or by a fraction. EG If a member of staff only works one day a week then there utilisation performance monitoring can be reduced by 80 percent since they are only working 20 percent of a possible working week. This is a unique feature of TaskWorks enabling flexible monitoring of expensive staff resources whether the personnel are fulltime, part time or sub-contracted.

But I have lot's of staff fluctuations each month. I don't want to pay for so many subscriptions that won't be needed from month to month.
Subscriptions can be changed every month. If you require more employee accounts one month and only half as many a few months later you can simply reduce your subscription level. Furthermore, when you reduce the number of employees by making them inactive all their hours data remains online for future analysis at no cost to you. TaskWorks is a flexible solution.

Can my personnel record their own expenses and timesheets or do I have to do it for them?
When you create employees in TaskWorks you have the option of assigning them a login ID of their own. Once logged in they can record their own hours and expenses and even generate Expense claim forms. Normal Employees only get very limited access to TaskWorks and certainly do not get access to Project setup, Project Tracking and Profit /Loss reporting systems. They do however get access to the community section for the projects they are currently assigned to work on.

What support do I get for my subscription?
Email support is included free of charge in the "Free-trial" period and without charge in the monthly subscription. Telephone support is provided to those organisations that have a support contract with TaskWorks.

Does TaskWorks handle fixed rate projects as well as hourly charged Tasks?
Yes and for fixed rate Tasks you can provide figures to show the number of hours and the hourly rate that the fixed cost was derived from allowing TaskWorks to track actual hours and costs by comparison.

Are there any limits to the number of projects that I can manage in TaskWorks?
No. No limits are placed on the size of the porfolio of projects you can setup. Similarly there are no disk space constraints either.

Do you support the Mac, do you have cross browser support?
Yes.
